​1. Can I hire The Guild of Strings for a performance?

Yes, The Guild of Strings is available to hire for concerts or events.  We use a pool of musicians to form ensembles of any size from a trio (3) to a full string orchestra of around 30 to 40 musicians.

​2. Do you require electricity?

No.  The only exception will be if the lighting is inadequate, in which case we will need to have electricity to power stand lights.

​3. What is your repertoire?

Our repertoire is vast, comprising the standard works for string ensembles or string orchestras, as well as arrangements of popular works.

4. Do you have public liability insurance?

Yes, we have our own public liability insurance.  This is the responsibility of the individual players.

​5. What are your policies?

BOOKING POLICY
  1. At the time of booking, we require a deposit of 10% of the total fee.
  2. The remainder of the fee is due 4 weeks before the event.  We will send a reminder about this.
  3. The full details of the venue, timings and repertoire need to be finalised at least 4 weeks prior to the event.
CANCELLATION POLICY
  1. If for any reason you cancel the contract after the deposit has been paid then this payment is non-refundable.
  2. If for any reason you cancel the contract 4 weeks before the event, then the full amount is non-refundable.
  3. If for any reason the venue at which we have been booked to play cancels then we will agree to perform at any alternative venue on the same date, providing the alternative venue is within 50 miles of the original venue. If no other venue can be arranged on the same date then the deposit that has been paid is non-refundable.
  4. If for any reason the venue at which we have been booked to play cancels after the full amount for my services has been paid, then we will agree to perform at any alternative venue on the same date, providing the alternative venue is within 50 miles of the original venue. If no other venue can be arranged on the same date then the full amount that has been paid to us is non-refundable,
